A settings page will slide in from the right containing "Estimations". Choose the preferred method here.
What are time Estimates?
Time estimates are measured in weeks, days, hours, and minutes, and they represent the amount of time you think it will take to complete a task. Here are some benefits of using time estimates:
Better planning: You can create a more accurate project plan with time estimates. You can estimate each task's length and then plan your project accordingly.
Improved tracking: When you use time estimates, you can track the actual time spent on a task and compare it to the estimate. This helps you identify areas where you need to improve your estimating skills.
Better communication: Everyone knows what a week, day, hour, or minute means, so it's easy to convey the estimated time for a task to your team.

To set a time estimate for a task in RogerRoger, follow these steps:
Add a task: Create a new task, or edit an existing task.

💡 For example, you can enter "1w" for a 1-week task, "5d" for a 5-day task, "8h" for an 8-hour task, or "30m" for a 30-minute task.
What are point estimates?
Points are a measure of the complexity or size of a task. They don't directly represent time, but they're a way to estimate how much work is involved in a task. Here are some benefits of using points:
Focuses on effort: Points focus on the effort required to complete a task rather than the time it will take. This can be useful when estimating tasks that are complex or hard to predict.
Considers team capacity: Points can help you consider your team's capacity. If you have a small team, tasks with high point estimates may need to be broken down into smaller tasks.
Encourages collaboration: When estimating points, involving the whole team is helpful. This encourages collaboration and can lead to more accurate estimates.
